Choose back in 2018 to open a coffee shop and restaurant, and the choice was to stay in Sta. Barbara iloilo just 5 minutes from the international airport.
Munks Coffee Shop & Resto are not only making Danish food, but international food as Indian, Asia & Indonesian food.
A place where we make much as possible homemade food, we make all our bread, sauces, filling etc etc all homemade with love, the portion of our food is not small its the same as you will get in Denmark.
Bacolod Coffee
WHY BACOLOD COFFEE
When the owner from Munks Resto first time came to the Philippines, way back in 1987 & tasted this coffee, he & his wife decided that the day they would open up a restaurant here in the Philippines they would only serve this coffee. In our opinion, that's the best coffee in the Philippines maybe in the world.
The owner from Munk´s Coffee Shop & Resto travels to Bacolod himself and picks up the coffee for our Resto. A trip that takes a few hours. First by motorcycle to the port of iloilo, then he takes the boat to Bacolod, which takes 1 hour and 45 minutes . Then a taxi to the secret place in Bacolod where he picks up our coffee, then the trip goes back to Sta. Barbara again. The coffee is a Robusta bean that is harvested near the beautiful mountains of Bacolod.
Our Services
Munk's Coffee has been a favorite of mine since before I was married. My wife, who lived in Santa Barbara, introduced me to this wonderful restaurant. Now, as a married man with a baby boy, I'm delighted to bring my family here to enjoy their delicious food.
The atmosphere at Munk's Caffe is truly special. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the owner is incredibly kind. Their menu is diverse, offering a wide range of cuisines from around the world. I'm a big fan of their Indian Curry with rice, and my wife loves their focaccia bread and spaghetti. We also enjoy their ChilliJam, which is absolutely delicious.

Whenever in Santa Barbara, Iloilo City, definitely go to Munks Coffee Shop, the food and service are above and beyond, their foods, desserts, are so superb, their bread are made on site. Portion are large, the owner's wife is the Chef. *****
